All-star game

For the 44th time, the Suburban Dart league beat the City Dart League 3-0 in the 65th annual City-Suburban All Star Series.

Game 1 - The Suburban League scored three runs on four-straight doubles in the bottom of the second inning to take an early 3-0 lead. The City League scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to close to gap to 3-2. In the top of the ninth the City could not get the clutch hit as they had runners on second and third with one out and didn’t score and Suburban won 3-2.

Game 2 – Suburban scored two runs in the top of the first to make the score 2-0. The City came back with two runs in the bottom of the first to tie the game. Suburban took the lead in the top of the second with a run and the City responded with a run in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 3-3. Suburban scored a run in the top of the 5th inning to take a 4-3 lead. In the top of the sixth Suburban sent 15 men to the plate scoring 11 runs to take a 15-3 lead. The hitting included six doubles and five triples. A home run by Larry Roth of the City league in bottom of the 7th inning completed the scoring as Suburban won 15-4.

Game 3 – City opened up the scoring in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. Suburban rallied for five runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-1 lead. City scored a run in the top of the sixth inning to make the final score 5-2.

Leading hitters for the Suburban League included Kyle Taylor 6-9, with Jordan Meixsell, Vic Pacchioni, and Scott Hoffert all going 4-8.

The City League was led by Dale Mack 8-12, Tom Hartzell 6-14 and Larry Roth 4-9.
