Commissioner Ron Beitler discussed the issue of signage over truck restrictions. Some truck restriction signs are on the roads that are restricted meaning that trucks are already on them before they get the restriction.
Beitler said the goal is to reduce human injury and property damage.
Recent laws have made it difficult to enforce truck restrictions but Beitler is pushing forward to find a way to fix this problem. He is looking into education and signage to prevent truck drivers from hurting people and damaging property. It is not necessarily the truckers fault. Truck routes need to be updated.
There was an executive session concerning some land acquisition.
