Parkland Community Library invites the public to meetings 7-9 p.m. March 7; or 8:30-11 a.m. March 8 at the Troxell building, Cedar Crest Boulevard, South Whitehall.
The morning meeting starts at 9 a.m. but come earlier for coffee and treats.
When arriving at the Troxell building, look for signs leading to the designated meeting room.
Pat Wagner, hired by the library board to do strategic planning, will be the facilitator of the meetings.
During the sessions, challenges such as increased population, diversity, and changing employment opportunities will be addressed.
The goal is to receive comments and information to apply to the library’s next strategic plan.
Library board member Carrie Nedick commented on the gatherings.
“We want to get a pulse on the region,” Nedick said. “We want to talk about what the community will look like in 10 years and build a plan for the library to meet the needs of that community.
“We’ll see how the library has to grow to be ready for that community 10 years from now.”
