It’s time to meet the next class of Falcon leaders!
Harry S Truman Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration Feb. 21. There will be two sessions available this day – 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each session will last about 90 minutes and no appointment is necessary. If possible, you are asked to bring your child with you as several screenings will take place that day. You are also requested to bring several items along to complete registration: the child’s original birth certificate, current immunization records and two current proofs of residency that you reside in Salisbury Township. Acceptable proofs are current driver’s license or registration, current utility bill, current bank statement, current W2 or W4 form, current lease or sales contract for permanent residence, current tax documents showing address, current pay stub with address of employer and employee, or current medical, state or federal benefits document showing address.
HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will both dismiss 1 p.m. Feb. 22 for teacher professional development.
HST will have class pictures taken Feb. 25. Order forms have been sent home for those interested in purchasing this photo.
The next HST T-shirt day is Feb. 28. Don’t forget your green shirts.
Beginning March 4 and continuing through March 7, both HST and WSE will have early dismissals 1 p.m. for spring teacher conferences. Information for HST regarding scheduling was sent home last week with children.
On March 8, all Salisbury Township schools are closed for a teacher professional development day.
On Feb. 21, the Salisbury cheerleaders are hosting a spaghetti dinner to benefit the Salisbury Middle School and varsity cheerleaders. Dinner includes pasta, meatballs, salad and desserts. There is a cost and tickets are discounted if purchased before the event. Children ages five and under are also admitted at a discounted price. Miller-Keystone Blood Center will be at Salisbury High School 12:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 27. Community members are invited to donate blood 2:45 to 7 p.m. Child care will be available. The SHS girls soccer team is holding a fundraiser at Louie’s restaurant, 2071 31st St., Allentown. Twenty percent of the food bill will be donated to the soccer team if diners present a flyer found on the district website. Offer is valid Feb. 20 and 21.
