WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Whether you are or aren’t celebrating with someone special, have a piece of chocolate, it will brighten your day.
Feb. 15 is a snow make-up day so all township schools will be in session. On the brighter side, all township schools will be closed Feb. 18 in observance of Presidents Day. Also, both Harry S Truman Elementary and Western Salisbury Elementary will have a 1 p.m. dismissal Feb. 22.
The middle school and high school will dismiss at normal time.
WSE will hold its kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year 9:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 20 in the school gym. New kindergarteners must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to enroll. If you have any questions, contact Danielle Rothrock at 610-797-1688, ext. 5500.
Do you like spaghetti? The Salisbury cheerleaders will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Salisbury High School cafeteria. Dinner includes pasta, meatballs, salad and dessert. Contact your favorite cheerleader to purchase tickets because the price is reduced if bought before the event. If you don’t know a cheerleader and you really want to come, contact Paula Douris at pdouris@salisburysd.org. If all else fails, tickets will be available at the door. Enjoy!
The SHS counseling office is hosting the College Information Night 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the high school auditorium. Topics to be covered will include searching for the right school, the college application, financial aid and more. A panel of college admission counselors will be available for questions. If you have a college junior or senior, this is a great event to attend.
The date and time of the next curriculum and technology committee meeting will be 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at HST.
