Janice Kauffman LeMaster, 72, of Lower Macungie Township, formerly of Hartsville, Bucks County, died Jan. 29, 2019, in St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Robert E. LeMaster. Born and raised in Southampton, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Eleanor F. Kauffman.
She graduated from William Tennent High School, Southampton.
Her professional career was spent working as a United States Postal Service clerk in Chalfont. As a retiree, she enjoyed watching movies, doing word puzzles, reading, visiting her grandchildren, crafting, playing “Santa” to her family at Christmas and hanging out with her dog. She was an avid animal lover and particularly enjoyed dogs, cats, deer, birds and butterflies.
She is survived by a son, Louis J. and his wife Patricia A. and their children, Victoria, Sarah, Jason, Adam, Michael and Sofia; son, Scott G. and his children, Joshua and Julia; daughter, Nicole Stafford and her sons, James and Fintan; sisters, Barbara Kauffman, of Phoenixville and Judy Kauffman Lovekin, of Kintnersville; numerous nieces and nephews; Great Dane, “Maggie.”
Contributions may be made in her memory to The Lehigh County Humane Society, 640 Dixon St., Allentown, 18103.
Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
