Babies delivered at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem are receiving red knit hats as part of the American Heart Association’s Little Hats Big Hearts observance for American Heart Month in February. All babies born in February at any of the Lehigh Valley Health Network hospitals in the Lehigh Valley, Hazleton, Schuylkill and the Poconos will receive a red hat knitted by volunteers.
Callie Wilbur of Catasauqua was among the first to get a red hat at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg courtesy of the American Heart Association in observance of American Heart Month. LVHN hospitals are giving all newborns red knit hats during February to mark Heart Month and to raise awareness of congenital heart defects.
