Contest winner gets peek at PEEPS
Have you ever wanted to see how and where your favorite candies are made? PEEPS lovers, listen up-this one’s for you.
The PEEPS brand is partnering with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley with a nationwide sweepstakes. United Way’s mission is to enhance the lives of its community members by assessing their personal needs. PEEPS will be working with United Way to support education initiatives by raising funds for various student programs with the hopes of raising student’s reading scores.
“We couldn’t think of a better reason to open our doors for the first time ever than by teaming up with our local United Way to help give back to the community that PEEPS calls home,” said Matt Pye, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Just Born Quality Confections.
United Way recently celebrated 100 years of helping the community and are looking forward to doing even more to help in the coming years.
“We are excited about this tremendous partnership with PEEPS and are honored that such an iconic brand is helping us achieve our goals in our next century of giving back,” said David Lewis, president of UWGLV.
The winner of this sweepstakes will get a four-person once-in-a-lifetime tour of the Just Born factory to experience how a PEEPS marshmallow is made.
“Although we’ve had many requests and lots of fans show up at our doors over the years, the PEEPS factory has never been open to the public,” Pye said.
In order to enter, PEEPS and UWGLV encourages that you donate $5 by visiting unitedwayglv.org/peeps or by texting “peepsunited” to 40403. The sweepstakes is open now through April 8. The winner will be notified around April 12 and will be officially announced at United Way’s Day of Caring event on April 18. Good luck!
