The Rev. Marvin R. Henkelmann, 90, of Moravian Hall Square, died Jan. 29, 2019. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he was a son of the late Theodore and Leokadia (Adams) Henkelmann. He was the husband of Wilma C. (Stoltz) Henkelmann for 67 years.
Marvin graduated from Moravian College in 1950 with a bachelor of arts degree in classical languages. He earned a master of divinity degree from Moravian Theological Seminary.
He was an assistant pastor at Central and College Hill Moravian churches, Bethlehem; Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown and Coopersburg Moravian Church; Memorial Moravian Church, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Covina Moravian Church of California; and First Moravian Church of York.
He was a 29 year member of the boards of Moravian Manor, Lititz; and of Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda and her husband Gary Gipson of Allentown; two sons, Wayne and his wife Yvonne of Ocala, Florida and Brian and his wife Marika of Jonesboro, Ark.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five siblings, Wilbert, Harold, Edwin, Herbert and Alfred Henkelmann.
