John E. Weibel Sr., 82, of Fort Myers, Fla. and Macungie, died Jan. 20, 2019, in the LVHN hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Maria Louise “Teddy” Weibel. They were married for 43 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ethelbert C. Weibel and Dorothy F. (Miller) Weibel.

Her was an Allentown High School graduate.

He was the founder and president of Valley Pet Supply, Inc. of Allentown, retiring in 2009.

His passion was boating which he did for many years in the waters from Long Island to Connecticut, the Chesapeake Bay area and later in Florida’s Gulf Coast.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Gregory J. and his wife Krystal; Jeffrey and John Jr.; stepson, Christopher L. Hagen and stepdaughter, Heather A. Halldin; grandchildren, Lars J. Halldin and Maja L. Halldin. He was predeceased by brothers Richard O., Robert C. and Paul W.; sisters, Janice L. Czor, Marilyn M. Mann and Sandra L. Williams.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown. A calling hour will be held 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 24 at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 6667 Lower Macungie Road, Trexlertown, followed by a service with Eucharist 11:30 a.m.
