Michael H. Scheerer, 77, of Center Valley, died Jan. 2, 2019. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Hayes) Scheerer. He was the husband of Katharine “Kathy” (Oran) Scheerer for 49 years.

He graduated from Frostbrug State University, where he was the founding president of TKE fraternity. He earned a master’s of education from Loyola University and a master’s in business Amdinistration from Mount St. Mary’s College.

He worked at St. Maria Goretti HS, Hagerstown, Md.; Mt. St. Mary’s College; Mack Truck Company; Waste Management; Bergey’s; DeSales University; and Straight Arrow Products.

He was a member of Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, Kathy; he is survived by five sons, Michael H. Jr. of Center Valley, John A. and his wife Lisa of Corpus Christi, Texas; Peter J. of Center Valley, Daniel M. and his wife Astrid of Sinking Spring and Stephen D. of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Katharine “Katy” M. and her husband Curt Crouthamel of Center Valley; a brother, Joseph R. and his wife Angie Scheerer of Maryland; and eight grandchildren.
