The Western Salisbury Elementary PTA is holding a restaurant week fundraiser at Louie’s Restaurant, 2071 31st St. Allentown. When you eat there between Jan. 21 and 24, 20 percent of your bill will be donated to the PTA. Enjoy a meal out with your family while helping your school.

WSE PTA will host a family game night 6-8 p.m. Jan. 25.

Salisbury Youth Association baseball and softball sign-ups are scheduled for the following days: 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at Salisbury Middle School and 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Harry S Truman Elementary School. Please note that if the schools are closed for bad weather, the sign-ups will be canceled also. With this in mind, 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at SMS is scheduled as a make-up night, only if any of the other dates are canceled.

Can you believe we are halfway through this school year?

Jan. 18 is the end of the second marking period for SMS and Salisbury High School. My son is very sad to see his guitar class come to an end.

Jan. 18 is also an early dismissal for Salisbury Township schools. SHS and SMS will dismiss 12:15 p.m. while HST and WSE will dismiss 1 p.m. To make it an extra-long weekend, all Salisbury schools will be closed Jan. 21 for teacher professional development.

There is a school board meeting 7:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at the administration building.

The next curriculum and technology committee meeting will be 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at SHS.
