Roughies Report: CHS student Zach Bolzau qualifies for FBLA conference

Congratulations to Catasauqua High School student Zach Bolzau, who is one of 16 Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students who qualified for the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America 2019 State Leadership Conference, to be held in April in Hershey.

Bolzau earned his trip by placing second in the web design/web programming team event during the Region 28 Leadership Contest, which was held Dec. 14, 2018, at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

The senior panoramic photo is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. Jan. 30 in the high school gym. Any senior with a late arrival waiver is reminded to report to school by the regular start time of 7:40 a.m. and to sign in at the main office.

Any female student who would be interested in attending the 2019 Women in Science and Engineering Forum at DeSales University 5:30-9 p.m. Feb. 12 should see Mrs. Roseman in the high school guidance office for an application.

The Coats for Kids drive to keep Catasauqua kids warm this winter is still accepting donations of new coats, gloves, hats and scarves in all sizes - children through adults.

Donations can be dropped off at the Catasauqua Area School District office, the Borough of Catasauqua lobby and the main offices of Catasauqua High School, Catasauqua Middle School and Sheckler Elementary School during business hours. All donations should be placed in a tied plastic bag.
