SADD clubs, which support Students Against Destructive Decisions, across the Lehigh Valley have officially changed their name to STARs, Students Taking an Active Role.
While the club will no longer be sponsored by the Pennsylvania state SADD, the students are still able to participate in SADD activities. Instead, the Lehigh Valley Youth House will be working with STARs as the students take active roles in their schools and communities.
The Salisbury skiers/snowboarders went on their first trip of the season. Every Thursday during the winter season (weather permitting), the Falcons head out to Blue Mountain to hit the slopes. During this time, students are able to take lessons, practice their skills and hang out with their friends. Enjoy the slopes, Falcons!
Daren Weber, a Salisbury High School senior, is working on a project to improve the baseball dugouts. He is asking for students to create a design that includes the theme of baseball to be painted on the inside of each dugout. If you are interested in creating a design, please use the template sent by Ms. Morningstar and submit the design between Feb. 1 and 8.
Finally, SHS students are looking forward to having an early dismissal Jan. 18 and no school Jan. 21.
