Larry E. Keeney, 79, of Alburtis, died peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Campbell) Keeney to whom he was married for 56 years in June. Born in Clinton Township, Mich., he was a son of the late Earl and Maude (Solomon) Keeney.

He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years, retiring in 1992.

He had a unique sense of humor especially when it came to trivia. He was proud of his native state of Michigan and many answers to his trivia questions were “Michigan.”

He served with the U.S. Army in Korea.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Brian D. and his wife, Amy; Brent D. and his wife, Tammy; Barry D. and his wife, Shannon; sisters, Jean and her husband Dick Gawne; Kay Fales; grandchildren, Patrick, Dylan, Seth, Collin, Bryn, Meredith and Anthony; great-grandson, Elijah. He was predeceased by a brother Charlie Zang.
