The Salisbury cheerleaders will host a Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebee’s on Hamilton Boulevard 8-10 a.m. Jan. 5. Come enjoy some flapjacks and support the Salisbury cheerleaders.

Interested in supporting Salisbury sports? Come to a sporting event. Basketball games, wrestling matches and swimming meets are occurring throughout the month. Check the schedule to see when you can attend. Can’t make a game? Many of the Salisbury High School sporting events can be viewed on Service Electric Channel 550.

The SHS Theater Department has announced its spring show – the musical “Honk!” Students interested in performing in this year’s musical should attend the auditions 6:30-9 p.m. Jan. 3 or 5-6 p.m. Jan. 4. Callbacks will be held after the second auditions 6:15-9 p.m. Jan. 4. Students should memorize one song and prepare one other song. However, students auditioning should have listened to all of the songs prior to their audition. Students should also fill out the audition form and bring a list of their conflicts with the rehearsal dates. For more information, look at the email sent by Director Will Erwin. The Winter Ball will be held 7-10 p.m. Jan. 12. Tickets will be sold during lunches Jan. 7 through 10. Tickets will also be sold at the door Jan. 12.

The end of the second marking period is Jan. 18. Students should make sure to have all assignments turned in prior to this date.

Finally, Salisbury students will have an early dismissal Jan. 18. There will be no school Jan. 21.
