Dorothy L. Powell, 92, of Emmaus, died Dec. 22, 2018, at Lehigh Commons. She was the wife of the late William T. Powell. They were married for 57 years. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Sarah and John Brey.

She was a 1944 graduate of Emmaus High School and served as class secretary for 73 years.

She worked as a secretary/administrative assistant at Lehigh Valley Dairy and then as an executive secretary at Air Products and Chemicals, Trexlertown.

She enjoyed movies, reading, creating ceramics, painting and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Emmaus Historical Society.

She is survived by a daughter Anne Tasha, of Manhattan Beach, Calif. She was predeceased by a daughter Jane O’Leary; brothers, Elwood, Paul and John; sister Anna.
