Dean O. Bauder, 88, of Emmaus, died Dec. 20, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Katharina (Sellmaier) Bauder. They celebrated 66 years of marriage on Nov. 12. Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late Walter and Minnie (Romig) Bauder.

He was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus and was a former member of the Emmaus Lions Club.

He was a self-employed carpenter for most of his life until retiring. He was also the owner and operator of the former Deano’s Drive-In in Emmaus.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jane K. and her husband Scott Zinggeler, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Nicole and Michael LeDoux; great-granddaughter, Hailey Koons; sister, Virginia Kichline. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas, in 1982; brothers, Roy, Linford and Robert.
