Members of Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Trexlertown, honored one of their own for 25-plus years helping the fire department’s Santa Claus.
George Roth, “The Gipper,” was thanked for his years helping Santa in Upper Macungie, with a custom-made firefighting Santa Claus helmet.
The helmet, made by Cairns, is the premium all-leather New Yorker style.
Roth was honored for his devotion to the fire department first as a firefighter, and as the chief engineer of Tanker 2521 since 1995.
He also helps with the fire company’s monthly breakfasts, making fascnachts for Ash Wednesday and just being a good citizen of the township.
