Boy Scouts in the Parkland School District recently collected food throughout the area to feed 50 needy families.
Troops included Pack and Troop 1600, Jordan UCC; Troop 60, Jordan Lutheran Church; Pack and Troop 144, Laurys Station; Pack and Troop 72, Fogelsville, and Pack and Troop 150, Orefield.
The food pantry at Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, is staffed by volunteers, who help package and deliver the food to those in need.
Second Harvest Food Bank is the parent organization.
