The Emmaus Main Street Partners and the Emmaus Historical Society will sponsor the popular Lucky Bucks Bingo 2 to 5 p.m. March 15 at St. John’s Lutheran Church parish hall. The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon March 3 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St. The program is “Bonsai trees, Bonsai starters, Bonsai tools and supplies,” by Scott White, owner of Bucks Co. Bonsai. His talk will cover Bonsai history and include techniques, potting, wiring and more. White will bring bonsai, pots, tools and soil for his discussion and bonsai and pots will be available for sale. The Emmaus Senior Citizens group meets 1 p.m. the first two Fridays of the month at St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, Fifth and Ridge streets. All local senior citizens are invited to attend the meetings. Be sure to stop at Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., to see the actors from St. Ann school’s drama club perform “Seussical, the Musical,” 2 p.m. March 7.

The Emmaus Public Library will offer after-school STEM 4 p.m. March 18. Sign up to learn how to build with lots of different material as the group explores the best way to hold a building up. The event is for third through eighth graders. Sign up at the desk so there is enough material for everyone.

Join the group at the library for the first Quidditch scrimmage of the season 10:05 a.m. March 21. Quidditch is a combination of dodge ball, basketball, lacrosse and a whole lot of imagination. The event is for all ages.

The library’s family game night will be held 7 p.m. March 9.

Come out 3 p.m. March 14 and meet the artists who won the 2020 Winter Juried Exhibition in January. A collection of their works from varied mediums will be on exhibit at the library.

The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will meet 7 p.m. March 23 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St. The public is welcome. The program will be a celebration of the accomplishments of the eight Girls of the Month chosen by Emmaus High School departments. The Woman’s Club of Emmaus has celebrated Girls of the Month since 1953.

The Emmaus Kiwanis Club is hosting an auction basket bingo fundraiser 2 to 5 p.m. March 22 at the Macungie Fire Co. #1, 31 S. Walnut St., Macungie. Doors open 1:30 p.m. The proceeds benefit the Emmaus Kiwanis Foundation which provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to area students and sponsors several community programs. The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library could use volunteer assistance to set up, staff and break down the spring book sale, April 24 and 25. Help is needed for setup 2 p.m. at the library to load the truck and 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Middle School to unload the truck April 24. Then help is needed to load the truck at the end of the sale April 25, get leftovers back to the library and unload at the library.
