Northwest swim team hosted Trident for its last home meet of the season on July 9 when Eli Kovar and Windsor Reiss scored first place points for Northwest in diving.

Keller Pooley and Jeffrey Eisenhardt scored second place points for Northwest.

The diving event in summer swim meets consists of three dives for each competitor.

Reiss, who is in the girls 13 & over division, also placed first the day before during Northwest’s meet against Lehigh Country Club.

In the meet against Trident, Reiss did a front double in tuck, a front full in free, and a back layout in straight. The front double has the highest degree of difficulty.

“My front double was a little off, and then my front full was good. I got good scores on it. My back layout was good. I just had a correction to make with my hands,” Reiss said. “I try to maintain my corrections in my head and make sure I keep them and keep building them up throughout the meets, and try to make each dive better and better every single meet as well as I can.”

Reiss scored 107.00 points against Trident and Lehigh. Pooley scored 100.60 points against Trident and Lehigh.

“Diving is a lot less stressful for me, based off of gymnastics, which I’ve been in my whole life, so it’s just easygoing,” said Reiss. “I love the coaches, I love having a team, and getting to see everyone grow throughout the meet. It’s really cool.”

Kovar scored 58.20 points and Eisenhardt scored 45.85 in the Trident meet.
