Sylvia Rhea (Moyer) Nikles, 76, of Alburtis, died April 20, 2019, at home. She was the wife of the late Alfred L. “Nick” Nikles. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stanley W. and Miriam (Moyer) Beidelman, of Whitehall.

She was a graduate of Whitehall High School. At 17, she was the youngest appointed church organist in the Lehigh Valley. She was the organist and choir director for Salem U.C.C., Catasauqua, for 32 years and 15 years at the former Dubbs Memorial U.C.C., Allentown, directing several charity musical programs to benefit the churches.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth and her husband John Olson; brother, Stanley J. Moyer; granddaughters, Kira Raye and Scarlet Rose.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. April 26 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 25 and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 26 in the funeral home.
