I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Santa was good to all the good children, both big and small!
All Salisbury Township schools will remain closed until Jan. 2, 2019 when they resume with normal schedules.
The Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School Varsity Cheerleaders will host a flapjack breakfast fundraiser 8-10 a.m. Jan. 5, 2019. It will be held at Applebee’s, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown. Any questions can be directed to Coach Paula at pdouris@salisburysd.org.
The first Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO meeting of 2019 will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 7, 2019.
As always, children are welcome to come to the PTO meetings and child care is provided by the SHS Key Club.
Salisbury Youth Association 2019 spring baseball and softball sign-ups are starting. Sign-ups will be held at HST 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 22, 2019 and at SMS 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and 28, 2019. Sign-ups will be in the cafeteria at both schools. Players must bring a copy of their birth certificate and medical insurance card.
Members of Boy Scout Troop 146 and Pack 146 are collecting aluminum cans which helps offset the expenses incurred and keeps activity costs low for the Scouting families. Cans can be placed in the green containers in the parking lot of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown.
Boy Scouts meet at the church on Tuesday nights and Cub Scouts meet at the church on Thursday nights. The Boy Scouts are also looking ahead to the Klondike Derby, which will be held Jan. 26, 2019.
The Cub Scouts also have many events planned including the Pinewood Derby car distribution Jan. 3, 2019 and the Pinewood Derby race Jan. 26, 2019. A family snow sports day is planned for March 10, 2019.

The Dec. 27 Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners meeting has been cancelled.
