Dennis R. Holland Sr., 70, of Emmaus, died Dec. 17, 2018, in his residence. He was the husband of Lucy (Talbot) Holland. They were married for 49 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frances A. (Schmeltzle) and Kenneth R. Holland Sr.

He worked in the sporting goods department at Walmart for 17 years. Previously he owned and operated Emmaus Cycle and Fitness and worked for George’s Cyclery and Bike Line.

He honorably served his country in the Army during Vietnam.

He was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Upper Milford Field and Stream and Alburtis Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife; son, Dennis R. Jr. and his wife Denise of Alburtis; daughter, Lisa M. and her husband Kevin Dries of Emmaus; brother, Kenneth R. Jr. and his wife Nancy of Emmaus; grandchildren, Dennis and Samantha.
