Main Streets holds a quarterly meeting for all its member businesses. For the last quarter of 2018, the business association decided to meet Dec. 6 at Taylor House Brewing Company, 76 Lehigh St. Most everyone attended the fest with food provided by Pies On Pizzeria, Fossil’s Last Stand, Tony’s Top Cat Bar and Grill, Bridge Street Family Restaurant and Catty Corner.

“It’s nice that we can get together and share ideas. All of us are trying to attract customers in Catasauqua and keep them here,” said Jacki Hartford of Fossil’s.

Catty Corner recently opened; the owners picked up some of their ideas from the design work Fred Pompa did at Taylor House Brewing.

The pre-Christmas get-together topped attendance records. Beck Packaging was the overall sponsor of the event. Beck Packaging has had an impact on the success of the Main Streets program with its continuing financial assistance.

Phillips Armstrong, Lehigh County executive, and Lehigh County officials attended, along with Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce liaison Jessica O’Donnell and a contingent from the Chamber.

Main Streets is getting more active in the community and promoting Catasauqua businesses. Business owners are anxiously awaiting preliminary plans for the Iron Works area. The project is expected to breathe more life into the increasingly active Catasauqua business marketplace.
