Patricia Velekei, 76, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 17, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Long) Dietz. She was the wife of Emil Velekei for 54 years.
She was a 1959 graduate of Bethlehem High School.
She was a staff assistant for Moravian College.
She was a member of Saint Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a council member.
She was a cheer leading coach and a treasurer for the Bethlehem Raiders, a president of the Lincoln Elementary School PTA and a Cub Scout secretary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Greg and his wife Tracy of Northampton and Mark of Bethlehem; a daughter, Lisa and her husband Jim Zarzecki of Bethlehem Township; a brother, Ronald and his wife Nancy Dietz of Allentown; a sister, Beverly and her husband Larry Kisslinger of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Sean and his wife Molly Velekei, Collin Zarzecki, Sydney Zarzecki, Tori Kline, and Dayna and her husband Alex Younis; three nieces, Tracey, Chris, and Tiffany, and a nephew Ron, and their families.
