Richard W. Schraden, 76, of Old Zionsville, died at home, Dec. 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Betty L. (David) Schraden. They were married for 52 years on May 28. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Earl and Sadie (Wieand) Schraden.
He was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.
He was a graduate of Parkland High School. He was a diesel mechanic by trade, retiring from Trans Service Logistics in 2005 after seven years of service. Previously he worked for Exide Battery and began his career with ALPO.
He was a true family man and enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by his wife; children, Scott D. and his wife Amy, of Lehighton, Connie L. Gatch, of Schnecksville and Rebecca A., of Lehighton; grandchildren, Justin D., Sadie K. Gatch and Cameron D. Gatch; sisters, June Satkowski and Patricia Bodine; brother, Donald. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl.
