Randall LaFaver

Randall “Randy” LaFaver, of Emmaus, died Nov. 26, 2018, in Burbank, Calif., while on vacation visiting his son. He was the husband of Deborah “Stufflet” LaFaver. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Russell E. LaFaver and the late Joyce (Wetzel, LaFaver) Ziegler.

He was employed for 28 years by the Stroh Brewing company, Fogelsville, retiring in 1999. He was also employed as department head of the professional contractors desk at Home Depot, retiring in 2012.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division from 1968 to 1970, serving in Vietnam and Fort Carson, Colo. He was awarded the Purple Heart for a combat related injury, the Bronze Star for Valor, the Combat Infantry medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal.

He was a fun loving guy, spreading laughter wherever he went. He was an avid bicycle rider who enjoyed people, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jennifer and her husband James Wittman, of Emmaus; son, Keith and his wife Vicki (Fukushima), of Valley Village, Calif.; grandson, Timothy who resided with him; granddaughter, Cassandra Wittman and granddaughter Miranda; brother, Leonard; great-granddaughter, Raven Ruch, daughter of Cassandra Wittman.

Services will be private.
