Orville Junior Wright

Orville Junior Wright, 87, of Wescosville, died Dec. 5, 2018, at Lehigh Center, Macungie. He was the husband of Julia Anna Wright. They were married for 58 years. Born in North York, he was a son of the late Orville Grant and Louise Margaret (Kretzing) Wright, both formerly of Newport.

He grew up in York and Allentown and spent summers in Perry County.

He graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in chemical engineering and from the Loop Course of Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he was part of the research division.

He was a military veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the 1950s.

Prior to moving to Wescosville, he lived in Emmaus and Ocala, Fla. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Deborah A. Kline, engaged to Paul Maranda, Brian J. and William H. and his wife Cheryl (Flyte); brother, Jeffrey L. and his wife Barbara Keiser; four grandchildren: Julie M. Procter, Amanda D. Kline, Merril D. Kline II and his wife Lauren Kline (Miller), and Andrew J.; five great-grandchildren: Alysa Kline, Raymond, Cassandra and Kevin Procter and Cora Kline.

He was an animal lover who owned a white rabbit (Petress) and a miniature schnauzer (Tami).

After his cremation, burial will be at Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery, Annville.
