High school artwork on display

Superintendent Jennifer Holman introduced high school art instructor Kathleen Kehs at the Nov. 21 Northwestern School Board meeting. The work of 14 students is on display in the board meeting room.

The artists whose work is on display were Kayla Bardonner, a clay shadow box design of her and her family camping; Taylor Divers, a clay container, Yin yang; Sam Fatzinger an acrylic landscape/sunset painting from his back-yard; Cielo Giandomenica, a clay shadow box of a cabin; Alex Hallingstad, a watercolor painting close up of a sea turtle; Bryce Heckendorn, a clay shadow box of a snowman; Jalissa Molina, acrylic/stretched canvas, of a landscape with a rock wall in New York; Megan Ondush, a watercolor lily painting; Ally Reinert, jewelry on a small canvas; Sara Sweitzer, jewelry on wire tree; Kylie Wade, watercolor flower with dew drops focusing on texture; Morgan Werley, clay pine cone relief tile; Jess Wertman, a clay vase/container; and Jordan Wessner, clay shadow box with telescope.

“They are very patient and work well independently,” Kehs said.

“The shadow boxes and the main item had to be made of clay but then other materials could be added.”
