Mary Ellen Oberdorf, 74, of Emmaus, died at home Dec. 7, 2018. Born in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of Bonita M. (Sonntag) Oberdorf and the late Richard C. Oberdorf.
She was a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in education.
She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
She began her working career as a special education teacher, pausing to raise her family. She returned to the workforce at AT&T for several years and then as a successful independent consultant.
She was devoted to her family, friends and church.
She is survived by her mother; daughters, Julie M. and her husband Richard Hubell and Amy L. and her husband William Herron; grandchildren, Kate and Claire Hubell and Jake and Michael Herron; former husband, James H. Corey; sister, Alice A. and her husband Earl Raivel.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
