FALCON INSIDER
Students at Salisbury High School should plan to look their best Dec. 12, as club photos will be taken during first and second block for the yearbook. Check the email sent out by Ms. Lucas for more information about when your club’s photo will be taken.
The yearbook is holding a holiday sale. All yearbooks are discounted through Dec. 30. Students interested in buying a yearbook should see Ms. Lucas.
The literary club will host an event at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in the Promenade Shops, Saucon Valley, 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14. There will be crafts, a scavenger hunt and free gift wrapping, all run by club members. All community members are encouraged to come enjoy the festivities and support the SHS Literary Club. A portion of the proceeds will go to the club for all items bought that night. Patrons can also make purchases online by using the code 12388492. Items bought at the cafe also are eligible.
Students Nevaeh Robinson, Lindsey Rapp, Sierra Rauch and Cari Lautenschlager, along with the help of the Student Government Advisory, have organized a gift/necessities drive to support the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children. They are encouraging all students and community members to participate by donating new and unwrapped gifts and toys, as well as necessities, including paper goods, cleaning supplies and office supplies.
A full wish list was sent to SHS students via email.
Organizers are asking all donated items avoid holiday themes, as the donations will be used throughout the year. Donations being made by community members can be dropped off at the main office entrance at SHS Dec. 14. Students interested in donating can drop items off at the high school during the school day through Dec. 20.
Finally, SHS Theatre will host a one act festival. For the festival, students are acting, as well as creating all costumes, sets and props and directing each of the four one-act plays. Two of the plays were written by SHS students. Come support members of the SHS Theatre 7 p.m. Dec. 13, 14 and 15 and 3 p.m. Dec. 16. There is a charge for tickets. Tickets will be available at the door or order tickets by phone at 610-797-4107, ext. 2508 or email salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org. Note: While the plays are appropriate for high school students, some themes may not be appropriate for younger children.
