EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

The Salisbury High School Theatre proudly presents the Salisbury One Act Festival, which will include four performances of short scenes both directed and acted by Salisbury students. Costumes, sets and props are all also done by students. Two of the scenes are also written by students.

The festival will run 7 p.m. Dec. 13 through 15 and 3 p.m. Dec. 16. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance via email at salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org.

It should be noted all scenes are appropriate for high school students; however, some themes may not be suitable for small children.

The HST PTO will host a Dine and Donate event at the Copperhead Grille on Airport Road beginning 5 p.m. Dec. 18. Mention you are there to support the Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO and HST receives a percentage of your purchase.

The next HST T-shirt day will be Dec. 20. This is also the day of the HST holiday parties. Please look for information coming home soon regarding this event in your child’s classroom. Also remember to refer to the approved snack list when sending in food for your child’s holiday party.

All Salisbury Township School District buildings will dismiss early Dec. 21.

Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 1 p.m. All Salisbury schools will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, 2019. Schools will re-open Jan. 2, 2019.

The Salisbury football team is collecting new board games to be delivered to the Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. The games will be used for children to play with their families when they visit. The collection will run until Dec. 19.

The annual Eastern Salisbury Fire Department Santa run will be held Dec. 16, a change from the usual Saturday appearance.

Santa is hoping to begin making his rounds after 9:30 a.m. Listen for the sirens; he’ll be making his way around!
