Remember to come out Dec. 13 to listen to Sheckler Elementary School fourth-grade students perform their Christmas program and band concert. The program begins 7 p.m.
***
Sheckler Elementary students will get to partake in some holiday festivities Dec. 20 when they will be celebrating with classroom parties. They will also enjoy the arrival of a special visitor from the North Pole. I wonder who that could be!
***
Dec. 21 is an early dismissal day. Kindergarten through fourth-grade students will be dismissed noon. There will be no breakfast or lunch served this day.
This is the last school day before winter break begins.

Third- and fourth-grade students at Sheckler created ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree for the annual Festival Of Trees event, held at Lehigh Valley International Airport. This is an opportunity for participating local schools to show their holiday spirit by decorating a tree; the tree is then displayed at the airport.
Students wrote a holiday wish on a ribbon that filled their tree. Visitors of the tree are invited to take a wish along with them on their travels, and in turn, they may leave a wish for the students.
It is a great way to share some holiday cheer during the spirit of the season.
