Walene Mary Baunach, 89, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 25, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Irene M. (Griffin) Duffy. She was the wife of the late Arnold M. Baunach for 38 years.

She was a 1951 graduate of Immaculata College and in 1955 earned a master’s degree from Lehigh University.

She was a secondary English and Reading teacher at Northeast Middle School in the Bethlehem Area School District until she retired in 1991. From 1996 until the age of 84, she was a GED and English as a Second Language instructor at Northampton Community College.

She is survived by three sons, Chad and Carolyn, Greg and Mary Ann and Hugh and Lisa Longenbach; a daughter, Shari; four grandchildren, Caitlin Baunach, Elizabeth Cogley, Gregory Baunach and Julianna Dougherty; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Eoin.
