Cory Lee Offutt, 30, of Philadelphia, died Nov. 25, 2018, at home.

Born Aug. 8, 1988, in Allentown, he was the son of Melissa Souders of Allentown and the grandson of Manly and Shirley Offutt of South Whitehall.

As a child he was a member of Indian Guides, PYC baseball and enjoyed exploring nearby woods in South Whitehall with his friend John Hunt.

He was a graduate from Parkland High School, and the Community College of Philadelphia.

A junior at Temple University, he recently was awarded an internship at a graphic-design company in New York City for his senior year.

While at Temple, he was a member of the intramural baseball team.

In addition to his mother and maternal grandparents, he is survived by a sister Nicolette Souders.

He was predeceased by his sister Jenna Lynn Josie Souders.

Although he had some rough times in his life, he had put his life together and was succeeding.

He will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.

Calling hours will be 9-10:30 a.m. Nov. 30 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1355 Springhouse Road, Allentown.

Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
