Students at Sheckler Elementary School have made Christmas cards for our veterans. A representative from Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 will collect the cards, and members of the American Legion will then deliver them to veterans after the Thanksgiving holiday. The cards will be distributed to veterans who are in local hospitals, veterans hospitals and personal care facilities.

This has become an honored tradition for the students of Sheckler Elementary. It is a wonderful way to express a thankful heart for their service to our country and to bring a smile and some joy over the holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Schools will be closed for the holiday until Nov. 26. Regular scheduled classes will resume Nov. 27.
