Lynda L. Kapec-Bortz, 69, of Alburtis, died Nov. 11, 2018, in her residence surrounded by family. She was the wife of Jeffrey A. Bortz. They were married for 17 years. Born in Elwood City, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ida (Gaal) Kanzleiter.

She was a graduate of Riverside High School and attended Point Park College.

She was a Realtor and co-owner of Re/Max Towne & Country, Maxatawny, since 1988.

She was an active member of Faith Church, serving in Divorce Care and was active in the children’s services on Wednesday nights.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Jamieson Kapec, of Alaska, Jason Kapec. of Allentown and Erik Bortz, of Mertztown; daughter, Lisa M. Bortz-Murphy, of New Jersey; siblings, Rick Gadzia, Marsha Chsko, Paulette Plavecsky, Louis Jr., Lori Coulter, Elizabeth Moshy, Jay Kanzleiter, Joe Kanzleiter; grandchildren, Jaiya, Julia, Grayson, Kaiya, of Alaska; Hanna, of Allentown; Ava and Eliza, of Mertztown; Eden and Luke, of New Jersey.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17 in Faith Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown. Viewing hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 17 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
