Harry Gilbert Kalb, 87, of Macungie, died Nov. 5, 2018, in his daughter’s home. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Reichl) Kalb and the late Verna Reichl-Kalb. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harry and Florence (Ibach) Kalb.
He was a graduate of Allentown High School and was a foundry worker for General Electric/Black & Decker for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He was an Airman First Class with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Church of St. Ann, Emmaus.
He was an avid Phillies fan and was a lifelong hunter, fisherman, gardener and outdoorsman.
He is survived by a daughter, Melissa and her husband Joseph Yanchuck, of Lancaster; sons, Michael and his wife Deb, of Emmaus, David and his wife Beth, of Olympia, Wash.; loving companion, Barbara Novak, of Allentown; sister, Sue and her husband Anthony Germani, of Allentown; stepsons, Charles Reichl and his wife Mia, of New Milford, Conn., George Reichl Jr. and his wife Coral, of Mullica Hill, N.J., Daniel Reichel and his wife Stacey, of Oakland, Calif.; stepdaughter, Tamara and her husband Ron Dolan, of Florida; grandchildren: Jacqueline Yanchuck, Emily Yanchuck, Audrey Kalb, Shane Kalb, Amelie Swann, Nathalie Swann, Jared Reichl, Jake Reichl, Joe Reichl, Charles Reichl, Irene Reichl; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother.
