Kindergarten students got to go outside and visit the “great pumpkin patch” at Sheckler Elementary School to select their own pumpkin Oct. 19. A big thank you to Home and School for providing the pumpkins.

Also, thank you to Catasauqua High School students who came to read to Sheckler Elementary students during guest reader day Oct. 19.

Sheckler students will be marching in their annual Halloween parade Oct. 26, starting 1:30 p.m. Students will be celebrating with classroom parties when they return back to the school.

Remember to pick up your child’s pumpkin at the end of the day Oct. 26 if he or she submitted a decorated pumpkin for the contest. Any pumpkins that remain will be discarded.
