Fred J. Jordan, 84, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 11, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Angelo and Gaetana (Granice) Giordano.
He was a 1952 graduate of Liberty HS.
He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a 28-year veteran of the Bethlehem Police Department. He was a motorcycle and a juvenile officer and a criminal investigator until he retired as a sergeant in 1991. He later was a Northampton County sheriff’s deputy for 18 years, from which he retired in 2014.
He was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He was a member of the Bethlehem F.O.P. Star Lodge #20, and of many social clubs.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynda R. and her husband Skip Yocum of Fountain Hill and Joanne and husband Dennis Smith of Nazareth; a son, Angelo T. Sr. and his wife Jeanmarie of Whitehall; two sisters, Dolores Schnecker of Bethlehem and Mickey and her husband John Berry of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Derek and his wife Laurie, Jordan and his fiancé Cassie, Angelo Jr. and his wife Jessica, Caitlin and her husband Clint, and Allie; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Evan, and Alex.
