LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

FALCON INSIDER

With the less than a week left until homecoming, Salisbury High School is putting the final touches on decorations and practicing man dances.

Throughout this week, students have shown their school spirit, by participating in daily themes. These themes included, pajama day, 80s day, U.S.A. day, Hawaiian day and blue and white day.

During the school day Oct. 12, students will participate in the annual homecoming pep rally. Each grade will have decorated the stands to fit the theme their class chose and the guys in each class will perform in the annual man dance. Classes will earn points toward winning the Falcon Cup this year.

Later that night, the homecoming parade will begin 5:30 p.m. at Harry S Truman Elementary School and end in the SHS stadium 6:30 p.m. in time for the homecoming football game. This year the Falcons will attempt to beat the Slaters. Come support the Falcons!

On Oct. 13, students can attend the homecoming dance. Tickets will be sold during lunches until Oct. 11 for a discounted price. Tickets will also be available at the door. Students in need of apparel to wear to the dance should contact Mrs. Legath, who runs the “Prom Boutique.” All requests will remain confidential. The doors will open 7 p.m.; the court will be announced 9 p.m.

Members of Key Club are selling Florida fruit to support local charities. The fruit is being sold until Oct. 26 and will arrive during the week of Nov. 12. All interested community members should contact a member of the Key Club.

SHS students interested in joining the wrestling or swimming team should attend an interest meeting during Falcon Period. The wrestling meeting will be Oct. 11 in the main gym and a swimming meeting will be Oct. 17 in the old gym.

Finally, as a reminder, students interested in dual enrollment need to be registered no later than Oct. 17.
