LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

I come bearing good news, actually Great News!

Western Salisbury Elementary School students are back home! The mold issues have been taken care of and we moved back into our building Sept. 24. Needless to say, we are a little excited! Just a quick reminder that picture day is scheduled Oct. 9.

I just want to one more time say thank you so much to the staff and administration of Salisbury Middle School and Harry S Truman Elementary School. They were so wonderful to the staff and students of WSE. They helped make a trying situation much easier.

The Salisbury Township Police Department would like to invite you to Coffee with a Cop. Come to the Starbucks on Lehigh Street by the South Mall 1-3 p.m. Oct. 3 to meet the chief of police and a few officers to chat and discuss any concerns you have for our township. While you are there, it would be nice to say thank you for their hard work protecting our community.

The Salisbury Township School District will be closed Oct. 8 for a teacher professional development day.

Meetings for the month include an operation committee meeting 7 p.m. Oct. 1 in the administration building and school board meeting 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the administration building.

The Devonshire yard waste dropoff is open Sept. 29, Oct. 2 and 6. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
