Walter W. Radon, 95, of Whitehall, died Sept. 11, 2018, at his son’s home in Northampton. He was the husband of the late Isabel M. (Dewalt) Radon.
Born in Stiles, he was the son of the late Walter and Pauline (Pellick) Radon.
He was employed by PennDOT as an inspector for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Coplay American Legion and Coplay Senior Citizens.
He and his late wife were on the pierogi committee at St. Nicholas, Northampton, for 25 years.
His family would like to give sincere thanks to Whitehall-Coplay basketball coaches Jeff Jones and Corey Frantz for their kindness and generosity to Walter and for including him as a true Zephyr.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Kressley and his wife Linda of Northampton and Melvin Kressley and his fiancee Jo Ann Smith of Allentown; a daughter, Doris and her husband Oliver Reese of Allentown; a sister, Helen Ziatyk of New Kensington; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
