John “Ivan” D. Ivankovits, 75, of Coplay, died Sept. 9, 2018, at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Anita (Milkovits) Ivankovits of Coplay for 39 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late August and Johanna (Petrasovits) Ivankovits.

He was a highway designer for 35 years for PennDOT before he retired in 1995. Most recently, he worked for McTish, Kunkel & Associates, Allentown, for nearly a decade.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, John and his wife Amy O’Brien of Lower Macungie Township, a stepson, Timothy and his wife Traci Knopf of Whitehall and a stepdaughter, Michele Koch of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret and her husband Larry Kish of Bethlehem and Emma Brey of Allentown; three grandchildren, Jack Ivankovits, Jonathan Koch and Lauren Knopf; nieces; and nephews.
