After a short and fun-filled summer, Salisbury High School began school Aug. 21. Over the past two weeks, students have had the opportunity to meet teachers and begin club meetings again.
Fall sports have begun for the 2018-2019 season. The stadium is often packed on weekdays and weekends. Check the sports schedule to see when you can come support the Falcons.
This year’s Homecoming game is Oct. 12. T-shirts are being sold now through Sept. 13. Forms can be taken to Mrs. Wilson’s room or collected during lunch. Also, the annual Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley Football game is 7 p.m. Sept. 14. Come support the Falcons as they play against Saucon Valley.
The Salisbury football team is asking members of the community to pledge money for every touchdown scored now through Sept. 30. All of the donations will be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Throughout the school year, colleges will be visiting SHS to provide information and answer students’ questions. All interested juniors and seniors should check the schedule for the list of colleges and universities and the dates of visits.
Immediate decision days will be added to the calendar in the near future.
Make sure to receive a pass from the guidance office one day prior to the college or university visit.
Open house at the high school will be 6:45 p.m. Sept. 20. Also, for students taking dual enrollment courses, there is a parent/guardian meeting 6 p.m. the same night. Dual enrollment allows students to take certain courses at SHS for college credit through Seton Hall. For more information, visit the guidance page or attend the meeting prior to the open house.
Students will have a 12:15 p.m. dismissal Sept. 14.
The Class of 2019 is selling pizza kits and cookie dough through Little Caesars. Orders are due Sept. 18 and delivery will be Oct 1.
