Helen H. (Hock) Sodl, 97, died Aug. 19, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Bethlehem where she resided. She was a wife of the late George S. Sodl for 61 years.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Roza (Unger) Hock.

She worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry.

She is survived by two sons, George (with Pat) and Rudolph; four daughters, Helen Trinkle (with James), Sandra Meashock (with Darryl), Anna Marie Van Arsdall and Patty Sinatore (with Dino); 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Pastier; and two sisters-in-law, Mary and Catherine Hock.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard; a daughter, Mary Ann Griffith; a granddaughter, Sherrie Sodl; a grandson, Patrick Sinatore; a son-in-law, Mark Van Arsdall; and seven siblings, Rose Horvath, Stephen Hock, Anna Asbath, Mary Toth, John Hock, Frank Hock and Emma Toth.
