Albert John Neupauer

Albert “Al” John Neupauer, 96, of Whitehall, died Aug. 21, 2018, at Fellowship Manor.

Born in Egypt, he was a son of the late Samuel E. and Sophie A. (Makosky) Neupauer.

He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a supervisor and lead analyst programmer for systems development for the former Stuyvesant/Finance America (Bank of America) until he retired in 1984.

He was the last original member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, which was established in 1928. He was a church lector, sacristan, altar server into his 80s and an Eucharistic minister. He took communion to Fellowship Manor and Lehigh Valley Hospital residents.

He was a member of the Holy Trinity Seniors in Action group. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and was for several times a Grand Knight. He was a life member of Catholic War Veterans Post 454 and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293.

He is survived by a brother, George and his wife Mary; two sisters-in-law, Rosalie and Teresa Neupauer; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He was predeceased by five brothers, Samuel, John, Jacob, William and Edward.

Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
