Back-to-school season is nearly upon us as we march toward Labor Day and the official end of summer once again.

The carefree days of summer leisure are gone; the pools close; the days get shorter; and we turn our attention to fall when the leaves change color and start to fall.

Welcome back, teachers, students and faculty.

The first day of the 2018-19 school year is Aug. 27.

Catasauqua High School doors open 7:36 a.m., and school begins 7:44 a.m.

Students are dismissed 2:35 p.m.

Schools in the Catasauqua Area School District will be closed from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
